1. Who we are
YogVana is a brand of S & A Lifecare Pvt Ltd ("YogVana", "we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain and protect personal data when you visit yogvana.com, use My YogVana or Teacher Studio, purchase a practice or product, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, including your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, login method, encrypted password credentials and verification status.
- Profile and preference information, including biography, profile images, languages, yoga or meditation interests, saved practices, preferred currency and recommendation choices.
- Teacher, studio and center information, including professional profile data, credentials, organization details, public contact information, listings and moderation records.
- Location information you enter, such as country, state or province and city. Precise browser location is collected only after you choose to enable it, and you can remove it from your account.
- Booking and Shop information, including reservations, cart contents, product orders, shipping address, optional GST details, fulfillment and refund records.
- Payment records, including payment provider, amount, currency, status and transaction reference. Payment card or bank credentials are processed by the selected payment gateway and are not stored by YogVana unless expressly stated at payment.
- Communications and community activity, including support requests, messages, reviews, favorites, follows and reports.
- Technical and security information, including session identifiers, device and browser information, IP-derived security records, request logs and fraud-prevention signals.
3. How we use information
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users and verify email or WhatsApp contact details.
- Provide personalized discovery, bookings, Teacher Studio, center management, Shop checkout, delivery and customer support.
- Process payments, refunds, provider earnings, payouts, taxes and accounting records in the original transaction currency.
- Review providers, centers and experiences; prevent duplicate, fraudulent, abusive or unsafe activity; and enforce our terms.
- Send transactional messages about verification, bookings, payments, orders, account security and support.
- Improve accessibility, reliability, performance and the relevance of marketplace recommendations.
- Meet legal, tax, consumer-protection, record-keeping and lawful authority requirements.
4. Legal grounds and consent
We process personal data where it is needed to provide a service you request, to take steps at your request before a transaction, to meet legal obligations, for legitimate security and service-operation purposes, or with your consent where applicable. You may withdraw optional consent, including precise-location access and optional marketing choices, without affecting processing already lawfully completed.
5. When information is shared
We share only what is reasonably necessary with:
- Teachers, studios or centers involved in a booking, so they can deliver the purchased experience.
- Payment gateways, banks and fraud-prevention providers needed to authorize, validate, refund or reconcile a transaction.
- Delivery, communications, hosting, storage, analytics and customer-support service providers acting for YogVana.
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts or law-enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law.
- A successor organization in a merger, restructuring or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
Public provider profiles, published experiences, center listings and reviews are visible to other visitors. Private identity evidence, saved shipping addresses and internal moderation notes are not published.
6. International services and transfers
YogVana is designed for a global community. Data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live when providers or technology partners support the service. We use contractual, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data and applicable law.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Account and profile data is generally kept while the account is active. Financial, booking, order, tax, dispute and security records may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or claims purposes. Data is deleted, anonymized or access-restricted when it is no longer needed, subject to backup and legal-retention cycles.
8. Security
We use access controls, role and ownership checks, encrypted transport, protected sessions, password hashing, encrypted integration secrets, audit records and other safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us immediately if you believe your account or personal data has been compromised.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to or correction, completion or deletion of personal data; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; request information about sharing; or raise a grievance. You can update many account, profile, preference and shipping details directly in YogVana. We may verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information where the law requires it.
To make a privacy request, email care@yogvana.com with the subject "Privacy request". If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may use the grievance or regulatory remedies available in your jurisdiction.
10. Cookies and sessions
YogVana uses cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for secure sign-in, session continuity, CSRF protection, cart operation and preferences. Optional analytics or marketing technologies, if enabled, will be described through the applicable consent controls.
11. Children
YogVana is not intended for a child to create an independent account or purchase without the involvement and consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required. If you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to applicable law, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect service, legal or operational changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel, and the current version will be published here.

Google Maps features
YogVana includes Google Maps features and content in its directory. Use of those features and content is subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
When the Google directory is used, YogVana sends location search terms or selected Place IDs to Google to retrieve current business details. YogVana retains selected Place IDs and its own directory collections, while Google business details are loaded for display. Google’s policies apply to its processing of these requests. Opening a business website or Google Maps link takes you to a third-party service.
